Duty Manager – GSE Maintenance

About the role

Swissport is looking for an experienced Duty Manager to lead the maintenance and repair of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) across its aviation services. The role combines operational oversight, planning, and team leadership to ensure equipment reliability and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain monthly maintenance programmes for all GSE, facilities fixtures and fittings.
• Coordinate with procurement and BLM to source consumables, spare parts and manage stock levels.
• Monitor fuel consumption of GSE, verify vouchers, and propose cost‑saving measures.
• Convert Maximo service requests into work orders, close them, and ensure compliance with electronic work‑order processes.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and SDL Maintenance to optimise GSE store inventory.
• Maintain accurate daily fleet status reports and KPI dashboards in Maximo.
• Ensure all activities meet SOPs, regulatory standards and health‑safety requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in GSE or aviation maintenance management.
• Strong communication, commercial acumen and planning abilities.
• Proven leadership and people‑management skills.

Required skills

• Maximo (CMMS) proficiency.
