Education Programme Manager – NYOTA BDS Project

About the role

The Education Programme Manager will provide strategic and technical leadership for the NYOTA BDS project, ensuring high‑quality implementation and alignment with NRC standards and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership for planning, implementation and quality assurance of the NYOTA BDS project.
• Lead development, review and monitoring of work plans and performance plans aligned with NRC strategies and contractual requirements.
• Ensure programme approaches are contextually appropriate and responsive to participant needs.
• Translate MSEA ToR and the BDS package into detailed implementation plans and keep them regularly updated.
• Maintain responsiveness of BDS delivery to socio‑economic realities and barriers faced by refugee youth.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 8+ years experience in entrepreneurship, BDS or livelihoods programming.
• 5+ years managing entrepreneurship/livelihood programmes, preferably in refugee or humanitarian settings.
• Strong understanding of the Kenyan MSE ecosystem, especially in refugee‑hosting areas.
• Experience managing multi‑location programmes and multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Stakeholder engagement with government, private sector, UN, NGOs and community structures.
• Quality assurance, monitoring, reporting, learning and adaptive management.
• Design of inclusive, gender‑responsive and disability‑inclusive programmes.

What we offer

• Duty station: Nairobi, Kenya.
• Contract: 6 months (subject to fund approval).
• Grade 9 NRC national contract.
