Electrical & Electronics Engineering Trainer

About the role

The Shamberere Technical Training Institute is seeking a qualified trainer to deliver Electrical and Electronics Engineering courses. You will join a dynamic academic team, supporting students through practical and theoretical instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver training in Electrical and Electronics Engineering according to the approved curriculum.
• Prepare teaching and learning materials, including lesson plans and practical guides.
• Design, administer, and mark assessments to evaluate student progress.
• Conduct research activities under the supervision of a senior trainer.
• Supervise student projects, practical work, and on‑the‑job attachments.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the department.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Pedagogy in Education and TVETA registration (mandatory).
• Minimum of one year relevant teaching or training experience.
• Registration with a professional engineering body where applicable.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
