Electrical Engineer (3 Positions Available)

About the role

Brites Management Services, a laboratory equipment supplier, is hiring three full-time electrical engineers in Ngara. The role covers electrical installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment such as UPS systems and power protection devices, with technical support for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Install, wire and commission electrical equipment according to technical specifications and safety standards, then inspect and test installations.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, UPS systems and power protection devices, keeping accurate maintenance records.
• Diagnose electrical faults with testing instruments, document faults and repairs, and escalate complex issues to the supervisor.
• Support clients during installation, maintenance and troubleshooting, explain equipment operation and maintain client relationships, including with Somali-speaking clients.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• At least 2-3 years of practical experience in electrical engineering, equipment maintenance, technical services or industrial maintenance.
• Fluency in Somali and English is encouraged, especially for candidates experienced with Somali-speaking clients.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of electrical installation, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
• Familiarity with electrical testing instruments, maintenance tools and safe electrical work practices.
• Basic knowledge of electrical control systems and power protection equipment.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals and technical specifications.
