Electrical Engineer – Design Specialist (Remote)

About the role

GoldenWolf is looking for a mid‑level Electrical Engineer to join its fully remote, multidisciplinary A/E team. You will design building electrical systems, conduct field assessments, and provide technical support for commercial, institutional, and federal projects across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document electrical systems for small to mid‑size buildings, including power distribution, lighting, low‑voltage, and building automation.
• Perform site visits to assess existing conditions, troubleshoot issues, and recommend upgrades.
• Prepare technical deliverables such as load calculations, single‑line diagrams, panel schedules, and design narratives.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, owners, and contractors as part of integrated A/E teams.
• Conduct owner‑representative and third‑party QA/QC reviews for government and institutional clients.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, NFPA, IBC, IECC, and local codes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• 3–6 years of building electrical design experience in an AEC environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑moving remote setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit (daily use).
• Experience using Bluebeam for document review.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD (nice to have).
• Competence with Microsoft Word for technical narratives and reports.
