Estimating & Design Lead – US Commercial Landscaping

About the role

This remote position is for an experienced landscaping professional who will turn property plans, specifications, and site information into accurate commercial estimates for US commercial landscaping projects. You will combine hands‑on landscape expertise with strong estimating and design judgment to deliver compelling, commercially sound proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Review site plans, specifications, photographs and other documentation to determine landscaping and maintenance requirements.
• Develop detailed cost estimates covering plant materials, hardscape, labor, equipment, timelines and related project costs.
• Convert quote requests into clear, accurate proposals with a typical turnaround of 72 hours.
• Track estimating activity from request to delivery using the CRM.
• Apply practical landscape and design expertise, including plant selection and layout considerations.
• Identify incomplete or unrealistic scopes before proposals are presented.
• Support proactive estimating by identifying strong‑fit commercial properties and preparing preliminary quotes.
• Prepare sales teams for site visits with research, historical scope reviews and relevant notes.
• Collaborate closely with sales, estimators, property managers and field leadership to ensure proposals reflect operational requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on professional experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscape architecture or a related green‑space discipline.
• Strong ability to interpret site plans, specifications, photographs and other project documentation.
• Solid understanding of commercial landscaping and maintenance operations.
