Electrical Technician Trainer

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Technician Trainer to join Rift Valley National Polytechnic and deliver high‑quality training to aspiring electrical technicians. The role involves teaching practical and theoretical aspects of electrical work to students in a classroom and workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional sessions covering electrical theory, safety standards, wiring, installation and maintenance.
• Develop and update training materials, lab exercises and assessment tools.
• Evaluate student performance through tests, practical exams and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain workshop equipment and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with academic staff to align curriculum with industry standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or a related discipline.
• Strong communication skills and ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
• Motivation to mentor and support student development.

Required skills

• Fundamental knowledge of electrical systems, circuits and safety regulations.
