Emergency Manager

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking an Emergency Manager to lead and support crisis response within its country program. Working closely with the Emergency Coordinator, you will ensure timely and effective responses to identified crisis triggers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead rapid field needs assessments and baseline surveys for emergency activities.
• Design and develop specifications, standard operating procedures, and technical solutions for water supply and sanitation in emergencies.
• Develop and implement response strategies in collaboration with emergency staff and field managers.
• Identify disaster and project risks and integrate mitigation plans.
• Manage emergency projects to meet objectives, budgets, and timelines.
• Monitor and supervise technical design, execution, and evaluation of response activities.
• Review and approve tender documents, including technical specifications and terms of reference.
