Emergency Specialist – Cash Assistance Beneficiary Data (P-3)

About the role

Under the supervision of the Emergency Specialist – Beneficiary Data, the incumbent will support regional and country offices in managing personal data of cash assistance beneficiaries, ensuring that people affected by humanitarian crises receive timely cash support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to regional and country offices on personal data management for cash assistance beneficiaries.
• Support the development and maintenance of data management tools for frontline workers receiving cash incentives.
• Deliver remote support and guidance in collaboration with headquarters and regional teams.
• Promote best practices in data protection, collection, processing, storage, and exchange for payment recipients.
• Contribute to the upkeep and improvement of UNICEF’s Management Information System (HOPE) related to cash assistance data.
• Help raise UNICEF’s profile on beneficiary data management and data protection.

Required profile

• Experience supporting regional and country offices on personal data management for cash assistance.
• Familiarity with humanitarian cash assistance programmes and data protection principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with headquarters, regional teams, and field staff.
