Engineering Supervisor

About the role

The Engineering Supervisor leads the engineering function within a DEF manufacturing environment, providing technical leadership across product development, manufacturing support, quality, and customer‑driven projects. The role manages a small team of mechanical/design engineers and works closely with Operations, Sales, Supply Chain and customers to deliver manufacturable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage engineering workload, resource planning, project prioritisation and delivery timelines while maintaining engineering standards and documentation.
• Lead design, development, testing and launch of new products and enhancements, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and DEF industry requirements.
• Partner with Manufacturing and Operations to resolve production issues, reduce scrap, downtime and material waste, and lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive engineering projects from concept to customer implementation, defining scope, schedules, budgets and coordinating cross‑functional execution.
• Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain and suppliers on CAPA, PFMEA, cost‑reduction and component selection.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably DEF, oil, gas or fluid systems.
• 2+ years of engineering leadership or management experience.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product design and engineering principles.
• Excellent project‑management, problem‑solving and communication skills.
