Enterprise Development Officer – Kajiado County

About the role

The Enterprise Development Officer will manage a credit portfolio for smallholder farmers in Kajiado County, providing both financial services and agricultural extension support. The role involves community outreach, loan processing, and promoting agribusiness profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and market SISDO services to small‑scale farmers and local leaders.
• Identify client needs, recruit eligible borrowers, and facilitate loan appraisal, processing and disbursement.
• Provide credit education, monitor repayments, and manage collections or repossessions as needed.
• Deliver agricultural extension advice on value chains, post‑harvest handling, and enterprise development.
• Prepare weekly portfolio performance reports and attend monthly staff meetings.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Cooperative Management or Business Management.
• Minimum C+ in O‑Level and at least three years of micro‑finance experience with smallholder farmers.
• Age below 30 years and a valid motorcycle licence.
• Strong integrity, passion for agricultural development and good communication skills.
