About the role
The National Mining Corporation (NAMICO) is recruiting a Mining Engineer to support the implementation of the Division’s mandates. NAMICO is a state corporation under the Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs, established by the Mining Act, 2016.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare applications for and periodical performance reports of mineral rights.
- Prepare and implement mine plans.
- Prepare reports and instructions for geotechnical operations.
- Prepare and implement mine scheduling.
- Prepare and implement waste‑rock management plans.
- Manage run‑of‑mine stockpiles.
- Implement mine safety, environment and health regulations in mining operations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in mining, mineral processing, extractive metallurgy or civil engineering.
- Analytical skills.
- Communication and report‑writing skills.
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Mentoring, coaching and leadership abilities.
What we offer
- Permanent, pensionable position.
- Basic salary ranging from 67,438 KES to 108,886 KES per month.
- House allowance of 10,000 KES.
- Commuter leave allowance of 4,000 KES.
