About the role
The Environment Officer will be based in Nakuru and will work on‑site to monitor environmental conditions, conduct inspections and assessments, and enforce relevant laws and regulations. The role supports waste management, pollution control and community education on environmental protection.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate street cleansing, tree planting, urban greening and beautification activities.
- Manage garbage collection and waste disposal processes.
- Monitor compliance with environmental policies, conduct EIA reviews and perform environmental audits.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Diploma in environmental resource management or equivalent.
- Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
