Equipment Operator – Forklift & Utility Van

About the role
Somtrade Limited is seeking experienced Equipment Operators to support its Container Freight Station (CFS) operations in Mombasa. The role focuses on safe and efficient handling of cargo using forklifts and utility vans within a busy logistics environment.
Key responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move containers and pallets.
- Drive utility vans for intra‑site transport of goods and documents.
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Follow warehouse and cargo‑handling procedures to ensure accuracy.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and report any incidents.
Required profile
- High school diploma; technical training is a plus.
- 1‑3 years of experience operating forklifts and utility vans, preferably in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification (if applicable) and a clean driver’s licence.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
