EV Battery End‑of‑Life Project Support Officer

About the role

The candidate will join the Sustainable Mobility Unit to provide project management and policy support for the Used EVs and Battery End‑of‑Life Programme. Working under the direct supervision of the Programme Management Officer, the role focuses on delivering reports, event coordination, and policy outputs across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a work plan and quarterly progress reports for the Used EVs and Battery End‑of‑Life Programme.
• Support the planning, agenda setting, and execution of the virtual launch and first in‑person event of the Global Partnership on EV Battery Circularity.
• Finalize and publish reports on Used EV import standards, a Regulatory Toolbox, and an EV Battery Chemical Impact analysis.
• Develop agendas, secure speakers, and organise three regional workshops and two sub‑regional meetings on battery end‑of‑Life.
• Create implementation plans, tender outlines, and selection criteria for four competitive grant processes across Africa, Asia‑Pacific, EEWACA, and Latin America/Caribbean.
• Review and improve project proposals for GEF9 e‑mobility projects in two countries.
• Complete policy development projects on battery end‑of‑life for Cameroon, Morocco, and Ethiopia.
• Represent the Sustainable Mobility Unit in at least one webinar related to battery end‑of‑Life.
• Review at least two policy or project outputs from e‑mobility projects with battery end‑of‑Life components.

Required profile

• Experience supporting international sustainability or mobility programmes.
• Ability to produce high‑quality written reports and policy documents.
• Strong coordination skills for multi‑regional events and workshops.
