Export Manager - Roofing & Building Solutions

About the role

Royal Mabati Factory Limited is looking for an Export Manager in Nairobi to drive international sales growth and expand the company's footprint across East, Central and other target African markets. The role covers export market development, distributor management, regulatory compliance and revenue growth for roofing and building solutions products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute export sales strategies, identify new international markets and build annual export forecasts, budgets and territory plans.
• Drive export revenue through distributors, dealers, projects and institutional clients.
• Recruit, onboard and manage export distributors and agents, monitor their performance and support them with product training, branding and promotions.
• Coordinate export documentation (invoices, certificates of origin, customs documents, permits, shipping paperwork) and liaise with clearing agents, logistics partners and shipping lines.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, tax laws and country-specific import requirements, and monitor export costs and freight charges.
• Build partnerships with developers, governments, hardware chains and construction firms, and represent the company at trade fairs and expos.
• Prepare weekly and monthly export performance reports and track KPIs such as revenue, margins, market share, collections and distributor productivity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Sales & Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in export sales or regional business development.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction materials, steel or FMCG preferred.
• Proven track record in developing regional distribution networks and export growth.
• Professional certification in Export Management, Supply Chain or International Trade is an added advantage.
