Field Engineer – LWD/DD

About the role

Join Baker Hughes' regional Drilling Services team as a Field Engineer focused on Logging‑While‑Drilling (LWD) and Directional Drilling (DD). You will work under direct supervision, gaining hands‑on experience in well‑plan interpretation, directional drilling execution, and basic wellsite maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Read and analyze well plans to support directional drilling operations.
• Execute basic LWD and DD jobs and services on rig sites.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting at the wellsite.
• Follow Baker Hughes HSE policies, legal compliance, and core values in all activities.
• Complete required training programs within the Applications Engineer‑1 curriculum.
• Assist supervisors with additional duties as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Fundamental understanding of engineering principles with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to quickly become proficient in basic LWD and DD services.
• Willingness to travel to rig sites, customer facilities, and training events.
• Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
