Field Sales Rep - FMCG and Beauty Products

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring Field Sales Representatives for FMCG and beauty/personal care products, based in Athi River. The role covers direct selling to general trade outlets and building relationships with modern trade partners, with a salary of KShs 25,000-30,000.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets through field selling and account development, and grow sales in assigned territories.
• Sell directly to general trade outlets such as shops, minimarts, independent retailers and wholesalers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with modern trade outlets such as supermarkets and organised retail chains.
• Monitor outlet coverage, product availability, pricing, promotions and competitor activity.
• Follow up on orders, deliveries and payments, and encourage repeat orders and higher customer spend.
• Keep products well stocked and properly displayed, implement promotions and trade marketing activities, and report shelf presence and stock levels.
• Gather information on competitors and market trends, submit daily and weekly sales and field activity reports, and track performance against targets.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field is an added advantage.
• 2+ years of proven field sales experience, preferably in FMCG, beauty, personal care or cosmetics.
• Experience selling to general trade and modern trade outlets.
• Demonstrable experience achieving sales targets and a good understanding of the retail/FMCG market in Kenya.
