Field Service Engineer – South London, North Kent & East Surrey

About the role

Tunstall is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver high‑quality repair and maintenance for a range of health‑care and third‑party products. The role is remote but covers the South London, North Kent and East Surrey area, visiting customers in their homes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, testing, maintenance and repair of emergency lights, fire systems and other electronic devices.
• Provide professional, courteous service to vulnerable and elderly customers.
• Travel to customer sites safely, using a company vehicle and adhering to health‑and‑safety standards.
• Document service activities and report any issues to the technical team.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a field engineer or in a similar technical service role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with diverse customers.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and follow planned schedules.
• Willingness to work at heights and in confined, dusty environments.

Required skills

• Electrical/Electronic qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).
• Experience testing fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
• Full Category B UK driving licence (manual).
