Field Service Supervisor

About the role

Komatsu is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to lead the Field Service Technicians at the Robinson site in Ely, Nevada. The role focuses on safety, customer satisfaction, technical support, and financial performance while ensuring high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and performance management for the Field Service team.
• Champion a zero‑harm safety culture, enforce standards, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with MSHA and other regulations.
• Oversee field service projects from quoting through completion, coordinating resources to meet customer expectations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal leadership, maintaining clear communication and resolving issues.
• Plan and maintain workforce levels, collaborating with other regions to optimize manpower utilization.
• Monitor utilization metrics, identify efficiency improvements, and drive service quality.
• Deliver expert‑level technical assistance, troubleshoot complex equipment issues using diagnostic tools and engineering principles.

Required profile

• Previous leadership experience or equivalent technical experience with heavy mining equipment.
• Proven hands‑on experience with shovels and draglines in mining or industrial environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage customer‑facing relationships and achieve financial targets (revenue, margin, expense control).
• Willingness to commute to Ely and work onsite Monday‑through‑Friday.
