Field Technician – Electric Drive Trucks

About the role

Komatsu is seeking experienced Field Technicians to support Electric Drive Trucks (EDT) at its Morenci Mine Site in Arizona. The role involves maintaining and repairing Komatsu electric haul trucks to ensure continuous mine production and uptime. Technicians work on a rotating schedule covering day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize a safe work environment and follow all mine site safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on electric drive haul trucks.
• Execute component change‑outs, inspections, and planned maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with Komatsu field service teams and mine personnel.
• Communicate potential issues (materials, tooling, labor, quality, EHS, permitting, etc.) to leadership.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience maintaining mining equipment such as electric drive trucks, shovels, drills, or loaders.
• Ability to read technical prints and complete repairs to OEM specifications.
• Willingness to travel 100% and maintain a clean driving record.
• Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts.
