Finance & Accounts Manager

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Finance & Accounts Manager in Nairobi. The role provides strategic financial leadership by overseeing financial planning, accounting operations, reporting, compliance and internal controls, while delivering financial insights that support business growth, profitability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee financial statements, management accounts, budgets, forecasts and variance analysis, and give timely reports and insights to management
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, fixed assets and month-end and year-end closing
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and monitor cash flow, working capital and liquidity
• Develop financial controls and policies, ensure compliance with tax laws and reporting standards, and coordinate internal and external audits
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting, monitor operating costs, and support product costing, pricing analysis and investment evaluation
• Mentor the finance team and build relationships with banks, auditors, regulators and suppliers
• Drive ERP and accounting system improvements and automation

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field
• CPA(K), ACCA or equivalent accounting certification
• 5 to 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing or a similar industry

Required skills

• Financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, cost control and audit coordination
• ERP and accounting systems
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and tax regulations
