Finance Controller – ERP & IT Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Controller who will lead financial accounting, internal controls and tax compliance while leveraging strong IT expertise to optimise our ERP environment and automate data flows across multiple branches.

Key responsibilities

• Lead ERP deployment, customisation and upgrades; ensure seamless integration of POS data with accounting modules.
• Design and implement automated workflows for financial reporting and maintain data integrity between sub‑ledgers and the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and oversee real‑time inventory tracking across all warehouses.
• Conduct digital and physical audits of multi‑branch financial data and train branch staff on financial software and data security.
• Manage electronic tax submissions via KRA iTax/TIMS, maintain audit trails and enforce cybersecurity controls.
• Ensure compliance with KRA regulations and IFRS standards.

Required profile

• Active CPA(K) membership in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Commerce (IT degree/diploma is a plus).
• 5‑7 years of senior finance experience with exposure to IT projects.
• Proven experience managing stock‑intensive or retail supply‑chain systems.

Required skills

• Power‑user experience with SAP, Oracle, Sage or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong SQL proficiency.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Data‑visualisation expertise with Power BI or Tableau.
