About the role

The Finance Officer will lead the finance department of the Technical University of Mombasa Enterprise Limited, ensuring accurate financial reporting and robust internal controls. This full‑time position involves strategic financial analysis, budgeting, and cash‑flow management to support the institution’s objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage day‑to‑day financial transactions and oversee bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, and cash‑flow forecasts.
  • Maintain and improve internal control procedures.
  • Provide financial analysis and strategic advice to senior management and the board.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA K qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum five years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Preferable background in audit, financial modeling, and proficiency with AI tools.
