Financial Services Trader

About the role

The Financial Services Trader will manage securities transactions, support investment operations and maintain strong client relationships. This role contributes to the growth and profitability of the firm while ensuring compliance with Kenyan capital market regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Source clients and execute buying and selling of securities on behalf of clients or the company.
• Monitor daily market activities, conduct research and identify investment opportunities.
• Analyze financial data and track performance of stocks, bonds and other instruments.
• Provide clients with information on products, market trends and investment opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and investors, handling inquiries and transaction issues.
• Support client onboarding, account management and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure accurate, timely processing of transactions and maintain proper documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly transaction, market and investment reports for management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with Capital Markets Authority regulations and company policies, supporting audit reviews.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and company financial information and stay updated on market and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, CISI, ACCA are an advantage.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
