Flight Operations Assistant

About the role

The Flight Operations Assistant supports drone pilots in daily flight preparation, field setup, and data management for Victory Farms' aquaculture operations. This role involves hands‑on assistance with equipment, safety compliance, and coordination with farm teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pilots with pre‑flight and post‑flight checks of drones, batteries, controllers and accessories.
• Set up take‑off and landing areas and act as a visual observer during missions.
• Transfer and organise drone photographs, videos and mission data according to team procedures.
• Perform routine cleaning, inspection and preventive maintenance of drone equipment.
• Follow drone SOPs, KCAA regulations and report any safety concerns or equipment issues.
• Coordinate with farm teams to schedule and communicate planned drone activities.

Required profile

• KCSE or High School Diploma.
• Basic computer literacy with ability to use email, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willingness to learn drone operations and work outdoors in farm environments.
• Physical ability to support field operations around ponds and farm facilities.
