Flutter & Frontend Developer

About the role

KooraHR is looking for a seasoned Flutter & Frontend Developer to join its fast‑growing product team in Nairobi. You will primarily build user‑facing mobile and web features, while occasionally supporting backend integration tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship mobile and web features using Flutter (including Flutter Web) with a strong focus on UI/UX quality, responsiveness and performance.
• Implement frontend interfaces in JavaScript using Vue.js or React, turning product specifications into production‑ready code.
• Integrate client‑side applications with RESTful APIs, third‑party services such as payments, messaging, analytics and e‑commerce platforms.
• Monitor, profile and optimise frontend and mobile performance, ensuring secure handling of authentication and sensitive data.
• Collaborate with backend, DevOps and product teams on CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, sprint planning and technical discussions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building mobile and/or frontend applications in production.
• Hands‑on expertise with Flutter (including shipped production apps) and strong JavaScript skills.
• Solid understanding of responsive design, UI/UX principles and performance optimisation.
• Ownership mindset: you ship, monitor, iterate and own outcomes in a fast‑moving startup environment.
