Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Food & Beverage Supervisor oversees daily operations, staff scheduling, training and ensures service standards are consistently met at Fairmont The Norfolk.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and conduct daily pre‑shift meetings to communicate pertinent information.
• Schedule, direct and train staff in all food and beverage operations according to Fairmont standards.
• Maintain proper inventory levels of wines, beverages and supplies, and enforce service standards.
• Develop cost‑saving measures, create beverage promotions and adjust pricing based on market analysis.
• Handle cash procedures, generate revenue reports and resolve guest complaints promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor or similar leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of food safety regulations and local cuisine preferences.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Proficiency in inventory management and cost control.
• Experience with POS systems.
• Competence in Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with hospitality management software.
