Gardener

About the role

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Gardener to keep the landscaping and green areas of our factory, office and dormitory in top condition. The role involves daily care of plants, maintenance of irrigation systems and ensuring all outdoor spaces are safe, clean and visually appealing.

Key responsibilities

• Water, fertilise, prune, weed and re‑plant flowers, trees, shrubs and other vegetation.
• Monitor and control pests and plant diseases to maintain healthy growth.
• Remove dead branches, fallen leaves, weeds and other garden waste.
• Inspect, maintain and repair irrigation systems and related facilities.
• Keep gardening tools and equipment clean, secure and in good working order.
• Support additional landscaping and planting projects as required.
• Perform any other gardening or landscaping duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Minimum KCSE certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, horticulture or a related field is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and attention to cleanliness.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Operation and maintenance of basic gardening tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of irrigation system upkeep.
• Plant care, pruning and weed management.
• Pest and disease control techniques.
