General Clerk Associate – Provider Intake

About the role

Cigna is seeking a General Clerk Associate to join its Provider Intake team in Nairobi. The role focuses on efficiently handling the flow of electronic claims and related documents, ensuring accurate processing and timely delivery across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, document, and sort incoming claims and electronic documents.
• Process and vet claims for payment, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
• Manage file classification within the Claims Smart Indexing System.
• Transfer claims electronically to designated platforms and Business Operating Units (BOBs).
• Triaging provider claims, queries, and GOP requests using Salesforce.
• Maintain intake queues and meet stipulated turnaround times.
• Handle multiple claim receipt channels and perform additional departmental tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and prioritizing tasks.
• Team‑player with collaborative mindset.
