Genesys Cloud CX Developer (Remote Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Genesys Cloud CX Developer to provide hands‑on engineering support for an enterprise contact‑center environment. The role focuses on configuring Genesys Cloud, building Architect flows, integrating APIs, and automating deployment processes. The candidate must be able to work independently and collaborate during U.S. Central Time business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and troubleshoot Genesys Cloud Architect inbound, outbound, and common module flows.
• Configure and maintain IVR logic, ACD routing, queues, skills, wrap‑up codes, schedules, data actions, callbacks, and related contact‑center components.
• Support voice and digital interactions across voice, chat, messaging, email, SMS and other Genesys‑supported channels.
• Develop and maintain integrations using Genesys Cloud REST APIs, OAuth, JSON, webhooks, and Data Actions.
• Build supporting services and automation with JavaScript, Node.js, and Python.
• Integrate Genesys Cloud with external enterprise applications and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
• Troubleshoot complex issues involving Architect flows, routing, telephony, APIs, authentication, and application behavior.
• Support migration of contact‑center functionality from legacy platforms into Genesys Cloud CX.
• Automate configuration management and deployment processes, contributing to CI/CD and Infrastructure‑as‑Code initiatives.
• Create clear technical documentation covering configurations, flows, APIs, integrations, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• 4+ years of contact‑center/CCaaS experience with strong hands‑on Genesys Cloud CX background.
• Ability to work independently, communicate technical blockers quickly, and produce clear written and verbal English documentation.
