About the role

The Golf Course Marshall will oversee daily operations, maintenance, and customer service for a golf facility supporting a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures the course, driving range, snack shop, and pro‑shop meet high standards of safety, cleanliness, and patron satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the golf course, driving range, snack shop and pro‑shop.
• Schedule tee times, tournaments and special events to optimize facility usage.
• Develop and enforce policies in line with CNICINST 1710.3 Chapter 20 Sections 2004 and 2008.
• Supervise, train and schedule staff, monitoring performance and fostering a positive work environment.
• Oversee inventory control, stock levels and retail operations in the snack shop and pro‑shop.
• Implement maintenance schedules for grounds, equipment and facilities, ensuring playability and appearance.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years experience operating or maintaining a golf facility that includes a course, driving range, snack shop and pro‑shop.
• Training and certification per CNICINST 1710.3 Chapter 20 Sections 2004 and 2008.
• Proven ability to supervise teams and manage daily operations.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain required credentials.
