Graduate Assistant – Engineering & Technology (Electrical)

About the role

The Technical University of Mombasa is seeking a motivated Graduate Assistant to support its Engineering & Technology department, focusing on Electrical and Electronics Engineering. This position offers a one‑year fixed‑term contract with the possibility of renewal for up to three years, allowing the successful candidate to complete a Master’s degree while gaining valuable academic experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior academic staff with assignments and projects allocated by the Centre of Development (COD).
• Support research activities, laboratory work, and teaching assistance as required.
• Undertake additional duties assigned by department heads or senior staff.

Required profile

• Upper Second Class Honours Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from an accredited university.
• Demonstrated willingness to pursue a relevant Master’s degree and registration for the programme.
• Eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional or regulatory body.
• Kenyan citizenship, age under 30 years.
