Grants Proposal Writer

About the role

The Grants Proposal Writer will work remotely from Nairobi to secure funding for Bright Path Vision’s youth‑focused programs in sexual and reproductive health and rights, climate action and social change. The role involves identifying grant opportunities, analysing funder priorities and managing the full proposal lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify relevant grant opportunities and funder guidelines.
• Draft concept notes, full proposals, budgets and reports that align with program objectives.
• Coordinate with program and finance teams to gather data and ensure compliance with RFP requirements.
• Maintain a proposal pipeline, track deadlines and document outcomes.
• Cultivate relationships with potential donors and support donor communications.
• Contribute to strategic fundraising plans in line with the organization’s mission.

Required profile

• Strong proposal and technical writing abilities with clear, persuasive communication.
• Experience managing RFP processes, timelines and compliance.
• Excellent collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
• Background in non‑profit, development or youth‑focused organisations preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, International Development, Public Policy, Social Sciences or related field.
• Familiarity with SRHR, climate action, youth empowerment and social justice issues.
