Head of Logbook Loans

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Head of Logbook Loans to lead and scale our car financing division in Kenya. Reporting to the Car Finance Division Manager, you will own the Logbook Loan business unit, drive sales growth and maintain portfolio health.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the logbook loan product to achieve business targets.
• Manage end‑to‑end sales operations, set KPIs for internal staff and external agents, and drive loan disbursement volume.
• Oversee credit risk by ensuring only high‑quality, fully verified applications are processed and monitor early‑stage loan performance.
• Identify, recruit, onboard and train indirect sales agents and expand the agent network.
• Supervise the logbook loan sales team, conduct performance reviews and provide training.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks, improve loan turnaround times and prepare performance reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in banking or micro‑finance, managing logbook loans or asset‑finance portfolios.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and driving origination volume.
• Established network with Kenyan car dealers, agent networks and valuation firms.
• Strong analytical ability to assess credit risk at origination.
