Help Desk Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Help Desk Specialist who will own the configuration, support and maintenance of the General Ledger (GL) system across all payroll engines. The role ensures accurate GL setup, stable daily operations and seamless integration with subsidiary systems while providing timely assistance to external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain General Ledger system components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve GL‑related issues, including payroll errors.
• Monitor GL processing to guarantee accuracy, completeness and data integrity.
• Support daily, month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Meet project deadlines and track incident resolution.
• Communicate with clients via email and phone in a timely manner.
• Assist in updating or adding missing GL accounts for client files.
• Serve as primary contact for GL‑related incidents and requests.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for recurring configuration or processing problems.
• Document and prioritize incidents and change requests through to resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting and configuring General Ledger systems or similar production environments.
• Customer‑facing experience with HRIS, payroll or time‑and‑attendance systems is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
• Proven capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced support setting.
