HGV Technician – Full‑Time Permanent

About the role

Join RH Commercial Vehicles as an HGV Technician and keep a wide range of trucks and vans on the road. You will work on‑site across our UK locations, delivering routine maintenance and repairs to the highest DVSA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs on HGVs and LCVs.
• Perform diagnostic tests, identify faults and rectify mechanical issues efficiently.
• Ensure every vehicle complies with DVSA health‑and‑safety requirements.
• Stay up‑to‑date with DVSA regulations and product developments.
• Support and mentor apprentices as directed by senior staff.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Shift Supervisor, Workshop Controller or Dealer Point Manager.

Required profile

• Qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Proven experience diagnosing, repairing and maintaining LCVs and HGVs.
• Neat, efficient work style with a commitment to continuous learning.

Required skills

• Diagnostic testing of commercial vehicles.
• Mechanical repair of HGVs and LCVs.
• Knowledge of DVSA compliance standards.
