HR Officer

About the role

The HR Officer supports a wide range of Human Resources functions, ensuring effective management of the company's workforce and compliance with applicable laws and agreements. This hands‑on role provides exposure to recruitment, onboarding, employee and industrial relations, compensation, training, and HR administration.

Key responsibilities

• Recruitment and onboarding: manage job postings, screen resumes, schedule interviews, conduct reference checks, coordinate onboarding activities and maintain accurate records.
• Employee and industrial relations: administer disciplinary procedures, conduct investigations, prepare documentation, support employee inquiries, and assist with collective bargaining agreement compliance.
• Compensation and benefits: support payroll processing, ensure accuracy of employee data, and enforce clock‑in/clock‑out procedures.
• Training and development: coordinate training programs, maintain training materials, and track employee training records.
• HR administration and reporting: keep comprehensive employee records, maintain HR databases, assist with reporting and analytics, and contribute to special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of labour laws, industrial relations and disciplinary processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Self‑motivated and capable of working independently as well as within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
