HR Officer

About the role

The HR Officer will implement HR policies and procedures to support Platinum Outsourcing & Logistics in achieving its objectives while ensuring compliance with Kenyan labour law. This role provides end‑to‑end recruitment, employee administration and HR support for assigned departments.

Key responsibilities

• Draft general HR correspondence, coordinate recruitment activities, and manage interview scheduling and communication of outcomes.
• Prepare employment documentation, monitor probation periods, contract expiries and ensure timely updates to payroll.
• Conduct staff inductions, maintain employee files, and manage the HR helpdesk for assigned departments.
• Prepare HR reports, including statistics, disciplinary reports, training feedback and Works Council action trackers.
• Coordinate training administration, NITA applications, trainer bookings, attendance records and certification.
• Issue pre‑alerts on fixed‑term contract expiries, manage renewals or terminations, and keep departmental organograms up to date.
• Manage disciplinary processes for supervisory‑level staff and below, including documentation and hearing coordination.
• Facilitate Works Council meetings and follow up on action points, and oversee document flow with supply‑chain sites.

Required profile

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management.
• Member of the Institute of Human Resources Management (IHRM) with solid knowledge of Kenyan labour laws.
• Minimum three years of experience handling mass recruitment, disciplinary and grievance matters for a large workforce.
