Human Resource Business Partner

About the role

The Safal Group is seeking an experienced Human Resource Business Partner to join its Kilifi County operations. You will act as a strategic HR advisor, aligning people initiatives with business priorities across the construction and building solutions sector.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with department heads and line managers to translate operational goals into effective people strategies.
• Provide HR advisory on workforce planning, organization design, structural changes, and business decision‑making.
• Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, contract management, performance management, talent mapping and employee exits.
• Manage employee relations, disciplinary actions, grievances, industrial relations, union engagements and labour office matters.
• Drive employee engagement programmes, recognition initiatives, wellness campaigns and act on engagement survey data.
• Utilise HR dashboards and people data to monitor KPIs, diagnose workforce issues and support performance improvement.
• Support change‑management, communication, continuous‑improvement projects and integration of HR solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• Active membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) in good standing.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• CHRP‑K qualification is an advantage.
