Human Resource Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Human Resource Manager to lead and strengthen our people operations within a regulated lending environment. The role will oversee recruitment, performance management, employee relations, compliance, and HR policy implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, and staff induction processes.
• Implement, monitor, and update HR policies, procedures, and the staff handbook.
• Coordinate performance management cycles, appraisals, and staff training initiatives.
• Handle employee relations, disciplinary actions, and grievance management.
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws, the Employment Act, and internal controls.
• Maintain accurate staff records, contracts, and HR documentation.
• Support payroll administration and coordinate staff benefits.
• Promote a positive, ethical, and high‑performance workplace culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CHRP certification (or actively pursuing) is an advantage.
• Minimum 1–2 years of HR experience, preferably in micro‑finance, banking, or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of the Kenyan Employment Act and labour relations.
• Excellent communication, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
