HVAC Master Technician for US Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking an experienced HVAC Master Technician to support a critical US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves ensuring the reliable operation of large‑scale chilled water and DX air‑conditioning plants in a remote, multi‑national environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on chilled water and Direct Expansion (DX) centralized air‑conditioning equipment.
• Support Variable Air Volume (VAV) and Constant Volume air‑distribution systems of 100 tons or greater.
• Conduct inspections, fault diagnosis, testing, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and implement repairs while complying with safety and refrigerant regulations.
• Assist in planning and scheduling HVAC maintenance activities.
• Document inspections, test results, maintenance actions, and repairs per regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to team members.

Required profile

• Valid U.S. HVAC Master License.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience with chilled water and DX‑type plant equipment, VAV and constant‑volume systems (≥100 tons).
• Completion of Refrigeration and Air‑Conditioning Servicing National Certification Level III (RAC NC III) or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to pass contract medical requirements.
