ICT / Computer Science Teacher

About the role

The school, an inclusive Christian international institution delivering the Cambridge curriculum, is looking for an enthusiastic ICT / Computer Science Teacher for Key Stages 2 and 3. The role also includes homeroom teacher duties, requiring the ability to inspire students in digital literacy, computational thinking and problem‑solving.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated ICT lessons for Key Stage 2 and 3 learners.
• Teach practical coding and programming, introducing age‑appropriate concepts and computational thinking.
• Deliver robotics sessions and technology‑based projects that foster creativity, collaboration and design thinking.
• Integrate project‑based and inquiry‑based learning approaches to build confidence in using technology.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse abilities, including students with additional learning needs.
• Utilise digital tools to enhance teaching and assess student progress in line with Cambridge assessment policies.
• Provide constructive feedback and prepare students for progression to Key Stage 4 technology pathways.
• Contribute to curriculum development for ICT, coding and robotics and lead related clubs and competitions.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or teaching qualification in Computer Science, ICT or a related field.
• Minimum five years of teaching experience, preferably within the Cambridge curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to teach coding, programming and robotics to secondary‑level students.
• Experience differentiating instruction for learners with varying abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and willingness to take on homeroom responsibilities.
