In-Flight Manager

About the role

The In-Flight Manager will lead inflight retail operations for Safari Group’s partner airlines, based in Nairobi County, Kenya. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that product assortment, merchandising, and stock levels meet brand standards and revenue targets while delivering a premium passenger experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee inflight product assortment, merchandising, and inventory for all partner flights.
• Coordinate with cabin crew and ground teams to plan promotions and train staff on product knowledge and service procedures.
• Monitor performance metrics, analyse sales reports, and report on inventory and revenue.
• Resolve operational issues promptly and ensure compliance with aviation, duty‑free, and company policies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Experience in airline, travel retail, hospitality or related customer‑facing operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Strong operational management, inventory control, and coordination skills between inflight and ground teams.
• Proficiency in customer service, stakeholder communication, and relationship management.
• Ability to analyse sales data and support data‑driven decisions.
• Solid organisational and time‑management abilities to handle multiple routes and schedules.
• Knowledge of aviation or duty‑free regulations and inflight safety standards is an advantage.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Hospitality, Aviation Management, Retail Management or a related field preferred.
