About the role
The Inspections Officer II is responsible for conducting oversight, inspections, and monitoring of police premises and operations to ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
Key responsibilities
- Support implementation of policies, strategies, guidelines, plans, standards and procedures related to inspections.
- Conduct inspections of police facilities and detention centres to professionalise services.
- Implement inspection tools and controls to address emerging policing trends.
- Collect and collate data for inspection reports and follow up on recommendations.
- Carry out rapid inspection response activities and update division records.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Administration, Public Policy, Criminology, Sociology, Political Science, Security Studies or a related field from a recognised institution.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
