About the role
The Better Migration Management (BMM) Programme seeks a motivated Kenyan intern to support its implementation in Kenya and, where needed, in Somalia. Working under the BMM Regional Coordinator, you will gain hands‑on experience in development programme management, research, and stakeholder communication.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in organising programme activities and online trainings on migration‑related topics.
- Draft communication products, meeting minutes, reports and project concepts or proposals.
- Conduct research to support BMM activities and contribute to the preparation of project documents.
- Support coordination and communication with partners such as IOM, UNODC and CIVIPOL.
- Develop presentation skills and, where possible, lead an individual work project.
- Participate in training opportunities offered by GIZ and perform other tasks as requested by management.
Required profile
- Recent bachelor’s degree in social sciences, politics, law or a related field.
- Kenyan nationality.
- Strong interest in migration governance and development cooperation.
