Internal Audit Manager

About the role

The Internal Audit Manager will provide independent oversight of operational and financial controls across depots, warehouses, plants and distribution operations. The role focuses on identifying revenue leakage, inventory losses, process gaps and control weaknesses to protect the company’s assets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular physical and process audits at depots, warehouses and plant locations.
• Review stock receipt, storage, transfers, dispatches, returns and inventory adjustments, verifying GRN/MIGO transactions against supporting documents.
• Analyse GRIR ageing, sales order‑delivery‑invoice‑collection cycle and identify unbilled dispatches and revenue leakage.
• Monitor POD compliance, reconcile delivery records with invoices and customer ledgers.
• Perform surprise stock counts and investigate shortages, excesses, wastage, damages and unusual adjustments.
• Assess procurement and vendor controls, including duplicate invoices, unsupported expenditures and non‑PO purchases.
• Evaluate transport and fleet controls such as fuel consumption, vehicle utilisation and route costs.
• Identify SAP/system loopholes, manual workarounds and access weaknesses that could create financial exposure.
• Quantify revenue leakage, determine root causes, assign accountability and follow up corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly Internal Control and Revenue Assurance reports highlighting exceptions, financial impact and high‑risk areas.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• CPA (K) or ACCA finalist.
• 7–10 years of experience, preferably in FMCG, dairy, beverages, distribution, finance or internal audit environments.
• Strong background in internal controls, financial reconciliation, inventory controls and revenue assurance.
