Internal Auditor

About the role

The Internal Auditor will report to the Holdings Assurance Manager and lead audit activities across the Group. The role focuses on evaluating governance, risk management, and control frameworks while providing actionable recommendations to improve efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess governance and risk‑management elements, designing mitigation strategies.
• Plan and execute audits in line with international internal audit standards and the department’s methodology.
• Develop detailed audit programmes for each project, emphasizing high‑risk areas.
• Perform full audit cycles, including risk assessment, control testing, and compliance verification.
• Gather audit evidence, document findings, and communicate unresolved issues to management.
• Integrate data‑analytics, automated testing, and continuous monitoring into audit planning and reporting.
• Evaluate technology controls, cybersecurity posture, IT governance, cloud security, ESG data integrity, and digital‑transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• CPA (Kenya) certification is mandatory.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent qualification.
