Internal Auditor

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level Internal Auditor to join our Nairobi office. You will be responsible for safeguarding the integrity of our financial operations, ensuring compliance with Kenyan regulations, and driving continuous improvement across internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on internal audit engagements covering financial controls, risk management and operational processes.
• Assess compliance with applicable Kenyan laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Provide independent, objective assessments of financial statements and internal control systems.
• Identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements and monitor implementation of audit recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop risk‑management strategies.
• Work with external auditors during statutory audits and regulatory reviews.
• Stay current on industry regulations and best practices in internal auditing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CA (Chartered Accountant).
• Minimum of 7 years (84 months) relevant audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan financial regulations and audit standards.
