Internal Inspector (Food Manufacturing)

About the role

The Internal Inspector will ensure that farms, production units and collection centres comply with the company’s Internal Control System and organic/fair‑trade standards. You will conduct inspections, produce objective reports and support farmers in meeting quality and traceability requirements for coconut production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform internal inspections of farms, production units and collection centres according to ICS procedures and organic certification standards (USDA/NOP, EU 2018/848).
• Verify farm compliance with EU organic regulations, including production methods, field management and harvesting practices.
• Carry out yield estimation and balance verification, ensuring data accuracy.
• Prepare and submit complete documentation, checklists and reports to the ICS data clerk on schedule.
• Identify non‑compliance, advise corrective actions and accompany field officers on site visits.
• Educate farmers on organic and Fair‑Trade standards, support traceability of coconuts and provide on‑site guidance on inputs and harvesting.
• Implement the approved yearly work plan and collaborate with buying clerks to meet quality and quantity targets.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience (minimum 24 months) in farm inspection or quality assurance.
• Strong integrity, ethics and ability to avoid conflicts of interest.
• Good knowledge of organic certification standards (USDA/NOP, EU 2018/848) and Fair‑Trade requirements.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
